1990 subaru GL vs. Same Era Volvo Wagon

this is just a shot in the dark here, but if anyone knows about these older cars. im looking for one of these older wagons, and am curious as to which might be more preferable. price range is in the mid $3k, but i would rather spend more like $2k for something reliable in the wagon genre.

buy a fullsize ford van instead.......both of those cars are....well.....not desirable.....or just get an SUV.....Ford explorer.....or a Bronco....i love broncos

and if you found a bronc with a straight six it wouldn't be so bad.....of course i would never have a vehicle that doesn't have V8 in it
