Just saw a commercial about steroids

Hey guys just just thought I let you know and wanted your feed back. I just saw a commercial about taking steriods it stated:
if you do roids it will stunt your growth. crack and breaks your bones, die early in life and weakin your muscle I thought this was so crazy and they showed a statue of a man falling apart and breaking into pieces..... how ridiculous if it where true we would have no athletes football players baseball players etc not saying they all do them.......

I saw that commercial last night as well. Was only a matter of time for that type commercial to be shown.Anabolics are becoming more popular with the youth these days than narcotics.I suppose the crack dealers will be selling Test and Deca now to compensate for the lack of sales in other areas.

I used to pay a little attention to get a slight laugh, but now it is just getting down right annoying.

I just heard of another story where a bouncer was suspected of killing a girl and they had to throw in there, that they were unsure if that bouncer has used steroids which may have triggered this sort of behavior.

Anything to pass the blame on.

I think that book "Game of Shadows" about Barry Bonds alleged steroid use is even worse, they say he gained somewhere around 40 pounds while on Winny only with no other supplement, then they have him taking just deca for an entire year, without the aid of PCT's, infact they say he used clomid as his only steroid supplement in 2002....because of the lack of any Test being used in any of these cycles I find the book hard to believe and a poor attempt at making some money off of steroids...(I know Bonds used but not what they have him taking)....

Any method of lying to kids to stop them from doing something is counter productive. Kids are not stupid. They know that all these athletes are using gear and winning. Then they see this commercial, and realize that it's BS. The best way to stop kids from using is rationally explaining the consequences to certain actions. When i was young and was told lies about weed, when i realized that they were bullshit, i thought all the warnings about drugs were bullshit; i questioned everything the authoritys said. Dishonest prohibition is doomed from the start.

well...if there is more and more demand of gear from younger generation, then im sure and law of "supply and demand" will take affect and gear will rise like oil is doing...but then again, the more UG Labs that pop up out of the woods, the more prices decrease.

smoke eat fast food and god knows what else. If they got healthy they might stop eating sh!t, smoking, drinking. The US only wants to make money, and scare people. OH! Look out for bird flu. BFD.

i completely agree on this one. the govenment makes their money off our taxes, and the more we spend, the more tax money they get. that's why obesity is becoming so prominent. they push the fatty foods. fatty foods means fatter people, which mean more money spent on food. fat people mean health problems, which means more money spent on meds. the government has nothing to lose except the health of it's people, which means very little to them compared to the money to be made in the ordeal.

the fda works in the same way. not sure who of you knows about the aspartame ordeal going on, but basically this stuff is toxic as hell in long-term daily consumption and the fda won't ban it because none of the alternatives cost nearly as much to produce, which would mean less money for them. not to mention there are scandalous rumors that seem fairly credible showing ties of the head of the fda to searle back when it was initially approved. don't believe me, do a websearch about aspartame. there's been books written on it! it's all about the $.

Sorry man, but I'm just not with you on this one. Look at the origins of the U.S.:

    1) Given ships by Europe to sail here, then in appreciation of their ships, supplies, etc., we tell them we want to be independent, go to war with them, and give them nothing in return for the entire plan that they created.

    2) After severing our ties with those who provided for us to get here to the u.s., we next kill off the indians who welcomed us with open arms (initially). Not only do we kill them and STEAL their land, but we underhandedly pretend to be their friends and give them diseased blankets to kill most of them off.

    3) Numerous fights/wars for territory along mexico for trade interests along ports, despite mexican ownership long before we came.

    4) We demand other countries disarm when we ourselves are armed to the teeth with nukes.

    5) When going to war the second time around with iraq, the first thing the military was told to secure were the oil refineries. Not the peoples safety, not finding Saddam, but securing the financial interest of our government.

I could go on, but I think that gets the point across. The U.S. was created through greed, trickery, seas of bloodshed, and is now a power-happy, trigger-happy authority who thinks it's "big brother" who knows best. I love most the PEOPLE of america, but our government? No thanks. I know it could be worse, but it could certainly be far better as well.

Mr. Aspartame was the head of the FDA board which determined whether it went to market or not. I believe all, but at least a majority of the board was against it. He overruled them, it went to market, he resigned and went to work for the inventors (Searle I think you said).
Besides, it turns to methanol and formaldehyde if it gets hot. This I believe. I worked for Coke for a short time and even they would not leave Diet Coke outside during the summer for that reason.

notice how I start my post as "Sorry man, but I'm just not with you on this one", whereas ss1476 starts with "Those are the stupidest things I have ever read here...", then i'm the one accused talking sh*t by him?! so sad. also, didn't realize stating facts was talking sh*t. if you believe it was talking sh*t, I'd read up on my history if I were you.

like how ss1476 tries to talk for everyone as well? who is he to decide what's "off topic"? this whole thread is about a commercial, more likely than not funded by the government saying as it's in their best interest, and discussing the gov is off topic? get a clue guy. last i saw, you didn't seem to have the title "mod", so where u get off trying to run things here? got a magic trick for ya: "poof!", you're gone.

anyway, back to this commercial, i wonder what the gov's intentions are as to why they did "operation gear grinder" and now even have commercials against gear? surely they can find a way to make a profit off gear just like they do cocaine? they know very well they can't shut down the whole black market, so why do what they're doing? doesn't make much sense to me unless they have a specific outcome they're looking for in all this. anyone have any idea what?
