If you can't make weight you can always get your BF measured. As long as you aren't a big fat ass and/or your waist size is small then you will be OK.

as long as your no fat ass your fine, you just have to be able to pass the apft (army physical fitness test) push ups, situps, 2 mile run. according to your age and gender.

you can be "overweight" as long as you are in shape, and not a fat a$$. I had to get my bf tested, get tape measured and all that crap for the Marines, cuz I was 5 10, 225, 10%bf. My recruiters thought it was hilarious.

True but before I saw all that other stuff I thought that meant you couldn't be over that weight no matter what and had to lose muscle or something..which would suck

you will most likely drop a lot of muscle anyways.

Bootcamp will allow you to see what its like to lose 20lbs of muscle.

ever heard of intense cardio for hours?

why do you think all soliders are skinny (low muscle and nearly no fat)

Its rare to find many military men big as most of us who work out.

Unless of course you can cycle a lot and take anticatabolic drugs
