Pretty difficult if you don't have a machine that can hook up to your car's computer and tell you what the codes mean.
jesus, you posted your reply like 8 seconds after my post.
My friend does, but hes a tuner and really into it.
I can work on my truck, but the motor is out of a 1974, so it has no computer to it.
No one touches my car :

except for major work where i don't have a lift etc.
Alot of guys I know work on their cars. There will be some stuff that you can't do without the aid of someone else or a lift, but for the most part, if you are willing to invest your own time and money into working on your car yourself, it will pay itself off in the end. As far as computers go, you can buy tuning and datalogging equipment at most every car store.
i work on mine....you can do pretty much anything if you have some mechanical know how and tools
hMm i thought the engine would say talon on it?Originally Posted by DSM4Life

I got a wrangler and i do every bit of work to it.. luckly she is a beast and the only problem i've ever had with her is a broken oil pressure switch and getting the distributer cap wet when wheelin.. gotta seal that.. everything i do is upgrades to it and thats easy enough. whole new suspension saved me like $300 doin it myself
ha.....yeah jeeps hold together.....our Cherokee Chief is like unbreakable.....my brother jumps it sometimes and tears the holy hell out of it and it still runs like a champ, there's no holdin her backOriginally Posted by ToTheBuckeT21
Just my luck,i see this thread after spending what not on my exterior this week im just in the house to sec ago my exhaust just went from near the front dont know exactly where till tomorow morning im working at 11am . 20 min drive from my house. Going to be a long fecking day...
When im in a beter mood il take pictures of the bitch iv fell out with here for now .
thats why they say only in a jeep.. thats no bullshit.. I swamped my wrangler in 4ft of water.. the whole inside was flooded and the airbox was just above the water line.. that thing ran for 3 freakin hours under water while i waited for a recker to come winch me out.. had it stopped runnin my engine would have been shit from the water rushin into the exhaust. and my gas light was on haha.
awesome.....we've actually never gotten it stuck before.....cept when we ripped the wires for the fuel pump off on something but i don't really count that........my bro put some kind of crazy tires on it that look like claws but the tread is like 2 inches deeper....can't get stuck
mine was bone stock at the time.. it now had 6" of lift and 33s, hasn't gotten stuck yet and i've gone through some crap let me tell u

The motor says Mistu because we did a motor swap from a 98 GSX eclipse.
And to the guy that said there is no room in these cars to work on .....you have no idea (in a bad way).
You put on that blower , I'll tick , tick, tick ... Oh yeah that me turning up the boost =Originally Posted by SVTMuscle
