In August of 2005 The Cndn Govt said i didnt file in 2002..

i did .. the fukers were able to find me for 2003 and 2004.. They were sending mail to 2 different addresses

Worst off i have a copy of 2002 but didnt keep any of my receipts and had to go and refind them all and they charged me a late filing fee.. not the irs but the cndn govt..Same fukers.. I hate them..

Normally you can work out a low payment with them from what I understand you just have to show in good faith you are going to pay. Remember the longer you wait the more interest and penelty you will owe.

don't think H&R block is your solution we got audited twice because of mistakes made by them.. I now use a CPA to handle all my stuff.. at least they are working for me and not for the shear volume of people they can push through.

    Good luck bro..

bump for the CPA, best money i spend all year..

also, it depends on the amount that is owed..

example.. $25,000 is $525 per month.. and once you begin the process, late fee's and penalties stop so you get a chance to catch up.. but the interest continues..

I don't know if this can be done in your case, but the first year I had my taxes done he told me he could redo my taxes for past years. So I brought my info back the next week and he did my '03 and '04 taxes(this was last year). I ended up getting more $ back, so it was well worth it. I guess ask around if anybody can do that years taxes for you, assuming you still have the info..

Yes they paid me back for the screw up but it still is a hassle.

I spend the money on a CPA now and she tells me how much profit and loss each month so I know where I stand all year.. it is pretty cool.
