    New Zealand

As anyone been to New Zealand and can tell me what it's like?

I have a friend that lives in Auckland New Zealand and he's traveling for 6 weeks. He offered me his apartment and use of his car while he's gone. Said all I'll have to pay for is my flight. What is it like there?

I could ask my wife since she is a native from Australia. I am sure it is very similiar. Drive on the opposite side of the road, very beautiful country side, lots of water, nothing deadly or poisonous on the island, beautiful people.

I am not to sure about that. I think it is illegal in Australia and a big fine if you get caught, but so is it in America. My wife said gear is easy to get in Australia, and GH also.

You know what else she said is a black market comodity. Tobacco is sold on the black market and you can get in trouble if caught with "illegal" or non-government taxed tobacco. Funny shit!

It's like Heaven on earth. However, it's starting to get winter. Better take warm clothes.

I really want to leave NYC and the US in general. I've been job hunting in Spain but I haven't found anything yet. I go back to Spain again next week. At this point I want to be any where but NY.

My friend who's in New Zealand is a pilot and knows how much I want to leave here. His apartment and car for a month is a great offer. But I've never thought of traveling to New Zealand before. I know nothing about it.

Kind of off topic here, but when I was in Barcelona, Spain there's this McDonalds at Barcelona's main rail station, Barcelona-Sants. Anyways, this dude that works there is the manager and he's one of the biggest dudes i've ever seen period! His Mickey D's uniform barely fits over his freaking diesel body, lol. The guy looks like an up and coming pro for Spain.

Other than that the company I work for has a division in New Zealand. It's also one of the places i'm looking to transfer jobs to also Carlos. I will be visiting sometime soon in the near future, but from what' ive heard New Zealand is really nice especially the landscape, but Australia has more stuff to do.

    lol, that was you?

Yea port olimpico is good shit. One club right after the next and no cover charges either. Yea I saw alot of big boys there myself. Most of them were dancers on stage or bouncers who worked at the clubs though, lol. They were sizing me up as well, but I wasn't juicing at the time and eating shitty so I was alot leaner, but still good size nonetheless.

What do you think about Baja Beach Club?

No, I go to Madrid but Barcelona is nicer than Madrid. I am job hunting in both cities.

I was planning on going to Spain for the next 6 weeks but I just got a job offer for Sony here in NYC.

I saw the "Gift" About the band Jane's Addiction and a segment showed Perry getting married there atop a high cliff... they were litterally in the clouds...
    it had me hooked...

Tis the dream land where you can lay out on tha beach one day, go surfing and then in hrs go snow skiing with out to much trouble...
This was the one place I dreamed about living due to my climate likings... I've never been and I will say if it were possible that a friend had an apartment and I could barrow it... I wouldn't have time to finish this post cuz I'd be checking my miles and air fares to get my ass over there some how.

i am actually going to be job hunting in a year in New Zealand...it is one of the most beautiful places on earth. I have never been there but would go at the drop of the hat. If youre getting a free place and care for a month +, youve got to be insane not to take the offer imo. Try it out, if you dont like it leave in a week, but i think it will definatly be worth the trip.

New Zealand will take me out of the way though. It will set my plans back. Mplan was to save and move to Spain. I already started job hunting there.

well if you don't go it COULD be the biggest mistake you ever made, who knows, if you go you might have found 'your place' on this earth and would have been thankful that you didn't go to spain

I would strongly suggest trying to find a couple of days if not a week to go there, basically all you have to pay for is the plane ticket and some food

i dont know what kind of money you make, but i can't imagine a week trip with a house and a car would set you back more than a week if youre saving.

I can afford it. The guy I know that lives there is a pilot. He could get me a ticket if I asked but I figured that would be pushing it. I'll pay for my own flight if I go.

Ever seen Lord of The Rings, that's all NZ. Not sure if I could ever pass up on taking trip there. Do it, I bet you'll never regret it for a second.

I was in NZ for 1 month and Auckland for 10 days. Some amazing views that I will never forget as we landed. Auckland is where it's at, but to be honest with you bro, and this is coming from a fellow Ny'er, you miss N.Y. after 1 week. The nightlife there is average, and ladies are decent, gyms are not on the same level, and you kind off miss that rudeness NY has to offer. I still think it is a great Country, just would not want to live there.

I played rugby in Auckland when i was at Grammar School and i have never come up against a team so physical and strong in my life, they absolutley battered us, all over the pitch, very strong guys, even at 16/17.

Lovely country though, really relaxed and the people are really nice.

Just got to watch out for the sheep though.
