Ok, in the first part of Black Hawk Down, in a chopper scene. There is a killer guitar riff going on and some singing I think. I'm pretty sure it's Hendrix, but i'm not sure. Does anyone know the name of the song? Redrock

i have never saw the movie, but was it all along the watch tower? it just sounds like it would fit.
No it wasn't Watchtower BigKev, that is the one song that is distinctive enough for me to point out. I'm pretty sure it wasn't, Purple Haze, Hey Joe or one of his more popular songs. Any ideas people?
this might be a crazy idea, but why don't you do a search for the movie Black Hawk Down and check out the credits, i could do it for ya, but im not, im sure you will have some success. But then again maybe not.
Here you go, but i didn't see anything on there by hendrix, but wtf do i know im only 23

It WAS written by Hendrix, but the version in Black Hawk Down is performed by Stevie Ray Vaughn. The song you ask??? Voodoo Chile (Slight Return).
stevie ray vaughn also did an acoustical version of "little wing" that is awesome.
Sting did a great version of "Little Wing" as well.Originally posted by bigkev

SRV was a huge Hendrix fan....I have a bootleg cd from one of his shows in Cleveland where he did a Hendrix medley of 4 Hendrix songs - Foxey Lady, Hey Joe, If 6 was 9 and Crosstown Traffic. Absolutely awesome!
gotta love the guitar.
clapton also remade "little wing".
Hendrix who???Ohhhh that old guy. Before my time old timers.
Just kidding. Hendrix is the man.
This is slightly off subject, but is "Blackhawk Down" worth buying on DVD. I haven't seen it but I love those kinds of movies. Oh ya, Hendrix is/was the man! Little wing is a kick ass song. I used to be able to play it on the guitar...it's ben a while.
Peace
Black Hawk Down is worth buying. It is one of the best war movies I have seen in a while. It is awesome. I have seen it 4-5 times and I'm still not tired of it.
