Alicante Spain! Have you heard?

I've been. Its very nice, its cheap and proparty is cheap. Downside is that it attracts alot of the criminal eliment from the UK and Ireland.

It's nick named 'the costa del crime'.

A friend of mine got his own appartment there. Very cheap when he got it, but prices wnet thru the roof the last couple of years. A lot of old norwegians there.

Yeh ive been, really nice place is Spain, went when i was about 10, 9 years ago, but very nice from what i remember of it mate.

You might wish to check out some of the markets mate that they normally have on a weekend, they used to do them when i went there, i know that was a while back but cant see any reason for them stopping them as there used to be loads of people go to these markets and they were also helpful for the patriots of Alicante too, and not just the tourists.

if you're just after a night out, go to benidorm. its cheap and there are some lively bars. it's not the most upmarket place though (it's like a high rise nightmare in the daylight and if the sun isn't shining, it looiks really scummy). However, there are quite a few lively bars (which will get busier in a few weeks after easter). loads of the bars have younfg people standing outside trying to entice you in - promotion staff - but they get paid very little and mostly supplement their income by selling e's, cannabis, etc (these are usually yound britons who are in trouble with law back home and need somewhere to disappear to).. As long as you don't look like a native spanniard, they're happy to sell to you. there is the main square with a few techno/eurobeat type bars. pretty good when your off your face. i'd recommend asking the promotion staff in the main square as all the security staff their are in on it. there are quite a few cabaret acts - look out for sticky vicky, she's a 60 year old stripper who pulls razors out of her ****. it's strange when you see her as she's married to the chief of police there.

anyhow, sorry if you were just enquiring about a genteel holiday in alicante with the inlaws.
