Bally's is shit you pay $60 cdn/month and you sign a 1 year contract. Meaning if you decide to stop going after 2 months, You have to pay the basterds the rest of there money (which is alot and a rip off) and if you dont pay up they harase you everyday calling you, mailing you then sending your ass to the collection agency

Be careful with Gold's Gym and closing accounts (if you decide to change gyms). My husband I were going - went for about 4 months and then I got a job transfer (some gyms break contracts if you get a transfer - we had a 3 month contract, 1 month free + 3 add't months). If you don't write out that you want to discountinue the contract they automatically resubscribe you for more months. So I cancelled a few weeks before I left but because I cancelled 2 days after THEIR billing period (and not the start, end date of my contract) they had to charge me 2 people for add'l month we weren't using... when that month ended they said some BS about - I don't remember ANYWAYS they charged us ANOTHER month that we couldn't use... it ended up costing us $160 for 2 months... + we contracted another gym 8 hrs. away where we were living... it was a huge mess and very costly. On TOP of it hubby went to visit friends during those months we were paying for so decided to go to the gym and they DENIED him access, saying his membership expired. Not saying all Gold's Gyms are like this but BUF, NY is.

Wtf is the difference between world's and golds gym. They were both created by joe gold, so are they designed for different purposes?
