    I think the reason everyone has trouble getting up after a good dose of Benedryl is because it prevents you from going into your deep sleep stage...therefore you do not get rested properly...it may also be why you have supposedly elaborate dreams()...because it keeps you out of deep sleep where you are closer to REM and you tend to remember dreams if you are not in a deep sleep...
