    Jb cold weld

Hey guys my muffler fell off the other day and I dont have the money to fix it. It is still hanging on by the brace but the pipe isnt connected to the muffler and it is loud as shiz. I bought some Jb cold weld cause I heard alot of people use it on cracked engine blocks. When I get off of work today I am going to try it out. Anyone ever use it before? Do you think it will work?

I don't think JB Weld will work. Go to your auto parts store and see if they have a muffler tape. There are kits that cost about $5-10 and it is high heat tape, a aluminum sleeve and hose clamps.. You just wrap the tape and cover with the metal and clamp it all together.. it will get you by for a few days to a week depending on how far up the exhaust system the break is.

I don't think it will work, the vibration will snap it again. you might have to '' bite the bullet"" and get a new one.

$80 to repair it?? ugh.. you might see if there is a non-franchise place close to you. They May be able to weld it and get it working for now for $20-30 I would guess.. To replace the whole muffler I can see $80. A bit pricey.

Then $80 is not that bad.. I had one replaced on one of my cars just a little bit back and it was $55 or so.
