these guys are nuts lol(and probably single) talk to her. its as simple as that. open the lines of communication. do you plan on marrying this chick? cuz if you arent, dont waste your time. but if you are serious tell her how you feel, something fruity like "im a little upset that you bought a lot of clothing when im saving every penny i can to make our dream happen" . crap like that they understand. it also turns it on her instead of you looking like an ass for making her cry, because no matter the argument you make the woman cry you lost. and besides, 1G is a lot on one spree i guess, but in reality did it set you back another month? big deal, dont sweat the small stuff.

No body wants to get hurt so they end up hurting others first

Depends on how serious you need to move out. But I think the point was solid maybe the way you went about it was not.

yea i understand that its a defensive reaction. but i dont understand why any female would feel the need to do it to me. call me a girly man or whatever, but i am looking for true love and my soulmate. i dont want drama, i dont want to fight with my woman. id much rather hold her in my arms, kiss her, give her back rubs and tell her how pretty she is.

You know king, women want to go to work and look good/feel sexy. So, her wanting to look good is cool BUT, if my woman came home and had just spent 1000 on clothes I would have reacted in a way that wasnt mutually nurturing.

why? do you control her money? does she make a lot? Mine does, unfortuantely I can't justify close to a grand in a month... BUT this is an exceptional situation... doesn't happen all the time.

Did you say you were saving for an apartment, or did you discuss saving and getting an apartment together? Did she know you were expecting her to contribute? Many women look at it like the man must pay for the rent anyway and allowing their woman to live there is common. Younger people may discuss sharing rent, but as you get older you have to be able to sustain yourself. Dont get me wrong, I beleive you should have talked to her about this to get it out in the open. At least now you can have a normal discussion about it once the anger has cleared.
You should not get too mad at her though for buying something that will make her look nice for you. While she was buying the clothes she was probably happy to have a boyfriend who would allow her to buy new clothes. I am sure you surprised her with your anger. I would appologize for not approaching her in a more respectable manner, but was frustrated by her actions. She will respond better with calm conversations and you will be back to enjoying her again soon. There is no reason to make your girl unhappy until the day you decide to leave. Until then, why not make the one your with feel like the most important thing anywhere. You will get the most out of your relationship this way.

Hey Justin man, sorry I didnt get into this thread earlier. I think its a ruff situation, if you are spending $$ on gear than its hard for you to say shit to her. But if you are putting more towards the house/condo than her then I wouldnt honestly talk to her about it. I mean if she is a professional woman then sure go for it and look your best, as Im sure if shes working in marketing she doesnt wanna look like a bum, but at the same time you gotta make some sacrifices somewhere or the condo is never gonna happen. She shouldnt have to ever give up shopping and looking good, but there is no reason that if she wants the condo bad enough she shouldnt be willing to cut back and budget a little better.

Hey if worst comes to worst we can always get her a night job at Solids to bring home some extra flow...
