Update on Tigger (my cat)
Brilliant news, he's going to live.
The results of his X-rays show he's broken both hips, his left pelvis is shattered, his left ankle is broke and he's got a shattered left paw.
He has no spinal damage and is expected to make a slow but complete recovery. Although he may need surgery in the future on his left hip.
We're getting him out of the surgery tomorrow, I'll take some photos and post them here on Thursday.
Thanks for all the kind words expressed over the last few days. I was absolutely dreading dealing with my childrens grief, but its all good now.

Need help in telling me kids our family cat is being put to sleep.

awesome dude... cats/dogs whatever become part of the family and you form strong emotional ties to these things especially children. I am happy for your children and it will be a special experience for them to help nurse the kitty back to health. Good learning experience for all... hope it doesn't cause your wallet to get cardic arrest during this process though

Update and photo
He's back in the Vets for a few days. Basically he was let out too soon as he was still in shock and didn't eat or drink for a few days. As a result he became dehydrated. So he's back in, on a drip and getting medication to bring back his appetite.
Here's a photo of him looking pretty pissed off.

Animals are like humans and sometimes more, they wont cheat you and they become very close friends, they understand your pain.
I am very glad to ear that great news bouncer, he is pertty cuite.
MY avatar are my 2 new babies. Yeah they seem very calm but they are real bums LOL.
