    Someone pleease help motivate me!!

    i havnt been to the gym in 4 weeks.!! well its not all my fault as i did tear my acl.. but heres the thing. i go for surgery in 3 weeks. i am back on my feet and can pretty much do as i need to. if i have my brace on i can prolly go back to lifting for upper body. i have no desire tho. i almost feel as if it will be useless time because i will be back off my feet. i lost 10lbs from 192 to 182. i havnt taken any shakes either. i really need to try to put a few pounds on before surgery or else i will be really depressed..

    Sometimes life sucks. Maybe a little vacation. My lower back is so messed up
    I'm restricted to cardio and and trying to build muscle with out trashing back.
    Just look at how much better off you are than ordinary people.

U POOR EXCUSE FOR A SOLDIER, U WANT MOMMY TO KISS IT AND MAKE IT BETTER.....WELL TOUGH SHYT YOU LITTLE WEAK FISH!!! just thought i would motivate u the military style...... but for real i've been laid up for months now cause of a couple tendons in my wrist and i've lost 25lbs i totally fell on my face :not eating enough,no supplements,no shakes, nothing at all and man don't let yourself lose all of it cause the depression gets worse and worse and then u start thinking " now i have to work for months and months just to get to the same point i was" its brutal to say the least brother.Stop while you still have some size and shape left...maby just concentrate on eating and supplements to prevent total loss! shyt i'm too embarrassed to go out without a cover up shirt and i look better than the average guy even after losing all that weight,but in our heads we look pathetic compared to what we are used to seeing. Start now bro don't let it all slip away......its no fun being in my shoes i'll tell u that. goog luck soldier.

    u need to get ur ass back in the gym.. u need that feelin of being pumped from lifting.. when ur chest sticks out, when u can barely walk from a leg day, when ur arms so pumped that u can barely scratch the back of ur neck.. or when ur abs are so sore that is hurts laffing

    i agree with Ufa, take a little vacation. theres no way your not going to be down about the size your losing but it wont last forever. two steps foward one step back. youll be back in the game before you know it. plus you can whore away on AR just keep telling yourself it wont last for ever.

    you tore your ACL?

    man that takes like 16 months to get the strength back
    there is very little u can do , even upper body every time u lift a dumbell or barbell its gonna go through your acl. i guess u could do machines for upper body

    doc says ill be able to play sports again three months after surguery..

    thanks guys. im going to try my hardest to get in there tommarow..

    good question.. was always athletic but small.. i graduated highschool about 5 years ago weighing about 130lbs. very small build but i was strong.. started lifting senior year of highschool and never looked back.. wanted to put on size so i have gone from 130-195lb in about 5 years. 3 cycles in the past 2 years. i got up to about 165lb naturally before i hit 21 years old.. at 5'7 i know im not tall and want to make up for it in witdth. its for myself. i dont get big to get girls, i have a girl. i dont do it to impress anyone else. no desire to ever compete.. i enjoy the lifestyle, the friends i have made in gyms, and when im into it i actually find working out fun. doesnt bore me much at all... basically even if i am trying to shred up i dont like to lose the weight mentally i feel small again like i was in highschool...

    think of every rep as taking a step closer to your goal. sure youl be incapacitated for a few days, but if you want it bad enough, youl find a way to still hit up your upper body even when you cant walk. you could try using school books and your backpack to make improvised home gym equipment and make sure to eat at least every 4 hours.

    Yeah, sometimes life throws ya some curves. I'd get back in there asap bud. I broke my ankle in january and was very upset about it as my leg workouts were going so well. I still went to the gym after the diagnosis and cast, I just didn't do squats and was hoppin' around on crutches. I know I felt a ton better than I would've had I neglected the upper body. Go for it, I think you'll feel much better, and you'll know you're doing the best you can.
