How did you make payment? Did he give you an address? If so find someone on the board in his area and ask them to pay him a visit.

I got screwed on ebay also. I ordered 5 Xbox 360's and paid in advance, and only one came in. I was planning on reselling the others and making a killing. I filed complaints with ebay, paypal, etc.. One of my friends in the HW patrol owed me a favor and found his unlisted phone # and his addresses for me. I had my attorney send him a letter, and the next week I made him aware that I knew where he worked, where he lived, etcc.
The next day my money was refunded via paypal.

If you paid with pay pal. You can go to their site and simply stop payment with in 45 days. If you paid with visa you can call bank and do a Fraud stop payment. Simple as A B C.

While ebay may help you get your money back, I doubt they are going to be too concerned with the copyright issue. This is where you could get him into serious trouble. First look on the internet and find the production company of the movies you wanted to buy. Then contact them directly. Someone will direct you to the proper person. I wouldnt report it to ebay, because they may send him a threatening letter and he might stop. It would be best if someone from the production company were able to buy one as well. Then he may face prison time and up to I think a $500,000 fine. I love ruining butt holes lives! Good Luck!

I try to look at the feed back and make sure there located in the U.S. One more thing to check for is their history, you don't want to do any business with someone that just started selling.

it actually tunred out to be a her that i was abusing and swearing at the whole time - never mind she deserved it
i reported it to paypal and they are dealing with it
i told her unless she gives me a full refund i'll report her to the police too
she said she would refund the money IF i aplogised for my threatening behaviour
to which i replied "go f*ck your self - i have paypal/ ebay/ and the police dealing with you now"

im in the same situation but i havent gotten my shit yet....i ordered a dvd from this guy who had 94% positive feedback, i just glanced and figured it was fine...so i buy it and then it says he only takes money orders (i later realized he does this to avoid paypal security) .....anyway though, i send him money order but i checked his feedback later that nite and it was like 10 negatives on the first page and 5 positive ones. its like he use to do good business but nows hes just ****ing people over. all these people saying he sent them bootleg dvds, or the dvd was cracked....also, he stated he doesnt leave feedback until u leave it for him......so basically once he sends u a copied dvd, and u leave him negative feedback, he leaves negative feedback for u, something like "this guy never sent money, sellers beware"....its still too early being i just sent money order on wednesday, and even though its not even $20 i sent, ill be using oki's strategy above if he sends me some bullshit......by the way if anybody wants to check him out, his name is " independantgames " look at the feedback he puts for people when they leave him negative feedback, its a joke.... i dont get how ebay doesnt ban him

as far as him waiting for your feedback, almost all sellers do that now. 90% of them are a bunch of *ssholes which are hoping to intimidate you into leaving them positive feedback with a concern for retalitory negative feedback from them. saying as ebay wants no part in the whole matter, they allow retalitories to run rampant on their service, basically making their entire system unreliable. if a person has 10 negative feedbacks, expect that at least twice that amount actually had problems.
i don't get why ebay just sits back and lets all this happen. they're saving money now on not having reps handle all these disputes, but it's killing the integrity of their site.
have you noticed though lately there are less and less people actually buying off ebay? you used to see so much more getting bid on, and within the past year or so, i'm finding more and more things with absolutely no bids on them. people are giving up on it, and it's showing.

the buyers are getting so fed up with having to sort through all the horrible retailers that they're just going elsewhere to shop to save themselves the time and trouble. i know a lot of friends and family that used to use ebay and have long since given up on it with it's turns for the worse. though i think you can still occasionally find good deals on ebay, most the stuff now is worthless, and it's so hard to tell what's worth it and what isn't from the manipulated feedbacks, it's just too risky to bother for the most part.

Just go to pay pal and stop payment. It's fraud when you don't get what you ordered. They will stop his payment. You have 45 days. If you used visa
you can call your bank and stop payment for fraud. I've done it several
times. Usually they won't challenge you because they know they are frauds.Last edited by Ufa; 05-18-2006 at 05:51 PM.

If he didn't state that they were COPIES, then you can get your money back because he did not advertise correctly. HOWEVER on the subject of copied CD's, you can buy software that legally allows you to copy a dvd for your own use.... my friend does this.
As for selling a copied DVD, im not sure he can do it. So i say report him to EBAY, and they WILL take care of it.

about the only thing i'd still get off ebay is computer games. you can still find used ones for pretty good prices, but for every one person selling it at a reasonable price, you find at least 20 others trying to sell it at retail store prices with a shipping price on top of that. i just don't get why they're still keeping it up when you see none of their stuff gets bid on???
