Cobra Health Insurance
anyone of you guys ever used it before? i am currently changing jobs and will be without benefits for 90 days. with my leg injury and having to have surgery then therapy afterwords im a bit worried about coverage.. i will still be covered with my current employer up until my surgery. just wondering if any of you guys used it before and if you had anything to say about it, good or bad.

Nothing bad about it, the coverage is still the same. Except you don't have your company backing you, you monthly fee to carry it will be high as hell. Stay healthy!!

it works, you have to pay and that sucks, last job i had before i started my own practice, i turned down cobra and just waited 3 months until benefits from my own place was set up

how does it work? do i need to contact cobra or do i recieve something from the insurance company when my benefits are gone??

You'll receive something in the mail from your company, letting you know your benefits have ended and what your options are, which is corbra. Then you will contact them. You could always be proactive and contact your HR just to be safe.
