so my school got a deadlift platform

and it is awesome!
Perfect to do deadlifts, cleans, power cleans, etc etc etc

However, there is a poster in front of the platform saying, "please do not use the platform, pelase contact the fitness center staff before using it."

In addition they have the rubber olumpic weights (20kg and 15 kg plates), and they have LOCKED them to the weight rack

What is the freaking point of having a platform like this, when NO ONE IS USING IT!
they certainly arent going to 'save' this platform by preventing us from using it!

Does your school have a big sports program with strength coaches ect? May be it’s only for the athletes because they are worried about “Joe College Fool” messing it up or hurting themselves. Ask about it I’m sure they will hook you up.

my schol does have a big spots program... but all the football players and such train at a different gym
