Hypnosis won't help much with this.
What you went through was a severe trauma, sorta like rape, and you definitely need counseling to help work through the after-effects.
Do some looking around at local therapist's websites (like
www.myrnadunlop.com ) and you'll get some idea of what you're up against.
Bank tellers go through this sort of trauma, and there seems to be systematic help for them:

Just looking around the net, I'd say a resource like
http://www.centerffs.org/programs/tr...counseling.htm
is probably what you need -- Trauma Recovery Counseling. It's a rare individual who "just gets over" this sort of thing without assistance from folks who understand what you're up against.
Your health insurance might pay for a few visits with a counselor . . . if not, you can probably get some help at a local medical school (some of the ones here in the Dallas area offer free clinics).
Here is another website to check into, concerning trauma:

At any rate, you went through a terrible event, and now you're up against lingering after effects that can be a persistant thorn in your side for the rest of your life, profoundly affecting relationships and making you and other people miserable. If you need some help finding someone in your area for help, PM me with some info about your general location and etc, and I'll see what I can find on the web.
Best wishes,
