Well, after 3 years Ive decided to do the unmentionable. I think I am after the 3 diamond engagement ring...can I get you opinions?

I really dont like any of them but i chose option 1 out of the 3.
If I was you, I would go to a jeweler and have a custom ring made. It says a lot more then your traditional store bought ring.abstrack@protonmail.com

I picked # 1, but you need to fit it to her personality too. A custom made one of a kind would say alot.
Good Luck! I wish you all the best in your new life together!!

#2. I don't like the third one much myself and the first one isn't bad but #2 seems to stand out.

All are GIA certified and either ideal cut or very close to, meaning all are "very good" cuts. This one set in 18K white gold priced out to $3615 at bluenile.com

remember she will wear this forever and regardless of what women say - they don't care about the size of the diamond..
In the long run i think it matters..
Think about how you feel when you got a shit box for a car and all your friends have mercedes..
And if when i decide to marry my future husband can't afford the ring i want, i'm totally cool with not having one. (i've been engaged before and the ring was exactly what i wanted)

Here is the biggest problem with the round solitare with side baguettes....The girl I dated in HS and college (total of 5 years) I gave a promise ring to of the same design (solitare with baguettes). Not sure if it'd be considered a little weird to get the same style ring.

It won't have the same value.
i'm sticking to the choice of the one i posted myself.
But by the way i don't think it's weird to ahve a similar choice of the one you bought some chick when you were a kid. (sorry if it sounds harsh but it's true)

Well, I went to a local jeweler. I dont think they will be able to touch the prices of online diamond brokers. I may buy a GIA/EGL certified diamond from an online broker and have my local jeweler put it in a setting.
ideal cut .75 for 2k. I think my local dealer would be looking at closer to the 3k range for this:

I picked number 2. But what do we know. I would ask her roommates, friends, or family (perferibly girls). But that's me man. Congrats by the way.

Get her the first! Why has it gotta be one of those?
I prefer a single diamond look classier imo!

this is the other one I have picked out... I agree with Miz, theres something very classy, the band will be cheaper which you could invest to the stone... 1 carrot is the magic number, but I have been looking at the prices of a .98 etc and they drop dramatically compared to a 1 carrot
