What program do you use to change an .avi to a DVD format?

there are alot of more complex programs that can do it....but i think the easiest route is to go with nero... it turns it into an svcd... close enough. I don't really feel like walking you through it (sorry)... but if you want to go al ittle more complex or that doesn't work for you or you don't have that software ... go to www.doom9.org and read around.

I think that the newest version of nero can do a DVD as well, which is a million times better than SVCD. But I use adobe encore, it is pretty advanced and it seems like every time I use it i need to relearn it. But google it, you might be able to find some free software.
