    summer drinking

    I have been real good this winter mabee drinking 3-5 times over the last 6months, but now my buddies are comming home from the military and college and they always want to drink, i mean who doesnt want to have a drink and chill by the lake. How do you guys steer clear of this problem?

    Just don't go over board. I mean train hard all week and as your cheat throw back a few. Not a 12 pack!!

    If I can get away with it and have nothing coming up that I have to be in perfect shape for, then I go for it.

    If I have biz to handle, well, they will have fun doing what they do and I'll have fun doing what I do.

    here's what's been working for me. Order/make 1 rum and diet coke with them around. Then go straight to coke. No one ever notices after they drink a lil :P

    I just carry my water around w me and drink that..im used to it by now..

    I may look like a pussy, but i sip my beer.. so it takes an hour to down just one beer, than for every beer i drink a glass of water.. 2 beers + 2 waters = 4-5 hour party.. fair enuff.

    man i dont know how you guys are so disceplined when it comes to drinking..hell as soon as its thursday you bet your ass i start drinkin a beer and dont really stop till sometime sunday..not an alcoholic just love relaxing..to me its sooooo fun...

    I don't see how you can drink 3-4 days like that. Aside from liver health and totally f*cking up hormone levels/cellular activity/etc., you just feel like shit and you can't train when you're all f*cked up.

    Then again I take my body and career very seriously, probably more-so than 99% of the people on here. So, that's why drinking to me is something I'll only do in Vegas on vacation, and even then it's in moderation. I truly don't like the feeling the next day, nor the feeling when the buzz wears off and you're all tired as f*ck, etc.

    Just not worth it, I can relax by reflecting on what I have, where I'm going in life, etc. I don't need a bottle to relax.

    yea i'll usually skip training so no worries there. but ya gotta remember i'm still doin the college thing..i dont really have anything to reflect on to relax about..and surprisingly it doesnt really effect my training..i can never gain weight when i'm always drinkin. but i dont really lose what i have unless i totlally stop workin out.so to me for right now its all good but when i'm done with college i plan to get serious about life and health..hell the days im not drinkin i'm the healthiest som bitch i know but once the beer hits the lips (IT FEELS SO GOOD) it goes downhill...

    whoa your in a frat bro..props to you.. i party with some frat guys and there either always hammered or studyin.. but they dont work out...now if i get a pooch in the stomach(never happened) then i'd stop to get back to seein the abs then i'd be a happy camper again and procede..

    I know where you're coming from .. friends are used to you being around to drink and share in some laughs.. the summer is an awesome time to chill with an icy beer or whatever... but you just gotta think of your goals and all the hard work you've done to get where you are.. is it worth sacrificing for a few drinks? Besides, once you do it once, your friends will want you to come out more and more.. I say set the record straight right away, then they won't expect itfrom you for the rest of the summer and hopefully they'll be supportive in yor goals and won't pressure you...

    Hmm i dont understand Drinking therefore i dont do it anymore!
    70% of people i ask dont even enjoy the taste! Therefore they drink to get Drunk! there is no other reason! There cant be logically? I dont realy enjoy the taste and i dont wanna get drunk for a while (just makes me feel sick now ) so whats the point even having one!

    Half of the drinks just "try" and taste like fizzy drinks or juice! I.e Vodka Orange, And mixer stuff! When im at a club and one of my buddies is drinkin some of that stuff and tells me they dont wanna get drunk i ask why? they like it but, they like it without the alcohol in therefore what is the point?!?!?!

    ARgh i dont understand! dont get me started on shots! Worst idea ever! (going abit far i think heehe)

    thanks for the replys i want to make some good ass gains this summer so, i am going to scam them by having one drink then pulling an undercover opp and making a fake alcoholic drink by that time they should already be beligerant drunk. getting drunk for one night doesnt outweigh the pros of making gains in the gym
