both of those are horrid. Full of viruses and slow downloads. I suggest using a torrent. www.piratebay.org . There's instructions on how to dl on the website. upon edit, NEVERMIND the site is down now, it got raided last night http://www.shoutwire.com/viewstory/1...Swedish_Police :/ There's another torrent site you can use, it's not as good but still has some good stuff.

    www.torrentspy.com
    www.isohunt.com
    some more are NiteShadow.com, BTHub.com and TorrentBox.com, Ed2k-It.com, NZB-Zone.com, BinNews.com and DVDRs.net. Isohunt.com, BTHub.com and TorrentBox.com :P

And you wonder why torrent sites get shut down.

Make people find stuff on their own! haha.

I've never had a problem with limewire. You just need to be careful what you download and have some good antivirus/ antispyware programs.

personally, i'm quite fond of shareaza. connects to limewire, bearshare, gnutella 1 and 2, edonkey, emule, and maybe more but that's all i can remember. very extensive, but dl's can take a while due to queries, especially with edonkey and emule.

i used to like kazaa lite ++, but it has been flooded with garbage, supposedly mostly from the RIAA, over the course of the past 5 months or so. though their library used to be much larger than shareaza's, i haven't been there in so long that i don't know anymore.

haven't tried any of those torrents yet, but wouldn't mind giving them a shot.

Kazaa lite and bearshare are the best p2p programs imo. Aslong as you have a good antivirus, and spyware programs, then you'll be fine.

alright, i checked some of those torrent sites and i gotta say for me, they're pretty worthless. i searched for a few things and got little or no results, whereas on shareaza i got tons.

in my experience, shareaza has torrents beat by a long shot. if you're using torrents now, just give shareaza a try and see what i mean. it's free anyway, and from what i've used so far, the best.

Well piratebay was the grand daddy of them all. Sucks they got shut down. But as far as looking for APPS and MOVIES and GAMES and FULL CD's, torrents are the way to go, if your looking for single songs then use an app like bearshare. But don't pay for it lol, just google for a serial or crack.

I used to use all this P2P stuff ages ago then found the wonders of the newsgroups. Maxes out your connection from start to finish and has tonns of stuff passing through it all the time. The best thing is you cant get busted coz you dont need to share anything just leech away. Great stuff

You bastard, at least upload as much as you download, otherwise everything will go to shit even more than it already is. And you can get busted, it's just very unlikely.

Thats the thing with the news groups one person uploads whatever to a main server and everyone is just downloading off the main server so there is nobody to upload to. The only people getting busted are the people sharing loads of files.

Danien, but you don't think there are any logs of who dowloads off the main server? IPs are logged somewhere in there.

The P2P programs these days are full of fake servers and bad IP's torrents are even not as safe anymore..if you do P2P, I recommend "Peer Gaurdian" it blocks bad IP's..keeps you from those bad servers and fake files, and even other things..
