i didn't like x-men 1 or 2 and haven't seen 3 (not really planning to). i agree with what you said. the movies are nothing like the comic books or even the first cartoon show. it seemed like know producing it read or saw the show and why didn't marvel correct the error. i expected the movies to like a live action version of some of the x-men cartoon show. and why is everyone wearing black. bring back their uniforms and stop focusing everything on wolverine.

i agree with pretty much all you said bro. they could've had a much better cast and the characters weren't proportionate to what they should've been. wolverine is supposed to be pretty jacked, hugh jackman is far from it. also, patrick stewart for "xavier"? don't get me wrong, he plays the part great, but first thing i thought when i saw him as xavier was "5 to beam up". he's captain jean-luc pickard of the starship enterprise! they never should've cast someone with such a common face when trying to make believable "characters" rather than believable "actors". anyway, i have yet to see the 3rd, but not too excited about it.

also, wtf were they thinking having what's her face change into the phoenix in the 2nd one?! that wasn't supposed to happen till wayyyy later on. they just rushed a lot of stuff like that cause they want to cram it into just a few movies, make their money, and go. in the process, they're ripping the heart of the story out while saying "kali ma", the heart ignites in flames, they laugh sadistically, and so on.

i seriously hope they don't end it with this 3rd one cause how are you going to end a movie series without having one of the toughest characters in it? we need to see apocalypse on the big screen. to not have the most hardcore character out of a comic book depiction is just ridiculous.

i also don't see why the movie almost completely revolves around wolverine? though he is my favorite 'good guy', instead of it being movies about all the x-men, the movies are like documentaries on wolverines life. at least in the first 2 movies, there's just too much of a focus solely on him and not enough on the other characters IMO.

though i did like the movies in general as movies, i definitely felt they were an insult to x-men itself. suppose they could be worse though. they could've ended up like the hulk.

i agree that the hulk did look pretty good, but there was too much dragged out bs in the movie. they had all the stupid drama between him and the girl, yet they gave no background on them other than they were together and broke up, and you hear about that in literally one sentence that i believe she says right near the beginning of the movie. other than that, you don't have any idea why he's so hung up on her or any of that. where was the chemistry???

additionally, the hulk is hardcore. he needs hardcore villains to fight, not the military. that was a joke. everything they threw at him was like a 4 year old shooting spit wads at cutler. finally when they actually have him fight someone hardcore, his father, the fight lasts for what? 5 minutes?

there was just too little action, not enough hulk, not enough depth, too much military, and too little explanations left on many concepts in the movie. though i thought it was an ok movie, it certainly could've been far better and was a disapointment compared to what it should've been. they're actually getting a new director for the 2nd one cause they didn't like how this first one was done. that's why it's going to be a while before the 2nd one even starts production.

Glad that they are going to try and fix the Hulk movies. The special effects were great, and the comic book style transitions were awesome I thought. Needed a better script, and better acting. Hopefully with a new director, they will be able to fix the holes in the script.
