...I've had good luck with my Motorola V325.....I live out in the sticks and the Motorola has given me the best reception of any cell I had to date (Samsung, Kyocera/Qualcomm).....
..the downside is if you do alot of text messaging, the buttons are kind of small....

I have an LG quicktap (I think that's what it's called) but would like to get either a Blackberry of Treo instead. Seeing that my palm pilot is now dead.

I work in telecommunications(but in management not techie) and phones perform differently with diffrent companies. In my experience Nokia phones are BY FAR the best in terms of reliability, functionality, etc. I have witnessed thousands of people having Nokia's for 4-5 years easy. Motorola is good as well in second. LG and Siemens, Kyocera are the worst. The rest are in between the two extremes(Samsung, Sony-Ericsson, etc. I Reiterate that handsets react diffrently on different networks and compatibilty. (GSM, TDMA, CDMA, & 900/1800/800 MHZ) Now G3 tech. available in Japan and Korea is cool shit, the things they can do with G3 technology is mezmerising. In america the area(surface) to cover all of America would not be financially justifiable but it is making in roads. Also market is different between Asia and America. The avg person retains the same Handset for approx 15-18 months while asia it is less then 12 months.

I got the newer motorola Razr from Verizon(the gun metal one with the vCast)... I had high expectations and it is great, BUT there are many many flaws with this sort of technology and im gettin pissed... I have ALOT less problems the my friends who have Razrs from differnt services but its all the same... for the money i spent, im alittle pissed... I should have gotten the "Sliver" to play music like an Ipod when I forget my mp3 player or dont have time to grab it from work or school/to the gym...

I work in the cell phone business and I can tell you this. Stay away from both Samsung and Kyocera. Stay away from Nokia flips. LG and Motorola are the way to go. Only buy Motorolas with a mini usb charging port and you're set. It all depends on the service provider too.

Agreed.
LGs reception is garbage, I did tests and compared it to Nokia and Moto. I had no signal with the LG while the Nokia is perfect and Motos was mediocre
I reiterate that service provider makes a difference.
