    how fast does valium work in the body?

    does anyone know how fast valium works in the body?

    if someone's having an axiety attack, could they pop one under there tounge to make it work faster? or??? just swallow?

    Im hoping not more then twenty minutes max...

    It should hit you pretty quick. they disolve quickly or did when i was taking them. 20 mins sounds right but maybe those that currently take them have better info

    If you chew it up, that's the fastest way to get it into your system...I'm not sure exactly how long it takes though...I would guess it would start to work around 20 minutes or less...

    Right on the money...why let it disolve under your tongue??? It will just leave a very shitty taste in your mouth. Chew it up with your front teeeth (this is to prevent chunks of the pill getting stuck in your moulders)...then do what Buddha Red said and chase it with a beer . You be feelin' fine 20-30 min later.

    Chewing it up is nasty, just crush it up real fine with a spoon and stir in a cup of water, drink, done.

    Well I don't take valium, but sometimes Xanex for anxiety. And when I crush it up, it only takes 15-20 min and that is without alcohol.

    IH...

    if you crush it up and take it sublingual, it will work a little faster than if you swallow it. Being a paramedic, i inject it to my patients and that works in about 3-5 min, but for your sake, just swallow it or crush it and put in under your tongue.
