    which one do you guys prefer to watch?

    UFC or Pride. I personally like the UFC better.

    Pride has 1- 10 minute around and 2- 5 minute rounds for most fights. UFC sometimes has 5-5 minute rounds....it actually is never set in stone what the round time is. During the Grand Prix there are only 2 rounds , the first one being 10 and the second being 5. There is no 3rd round.

    UFC's rounds are 5-5 minute rounds for a championship matches and 3-5 minute rounds for a regular fight i thought.

    I just realized i put this thread in the ar lounge. I meant to put it in the boxing/fighting/wrestling one. Oops!!

    i havent seen much of pride except over the internet, UFC ive seen abit of mind you, so cant cast a fair judgement, altho im always told that pride has better fighters, i think fedor is the man. anyone watch k1? never rated that myself

    I enjoy watchin all fights. Overall I have easier access to UFC, I do not really feel one is better than the other. Its easier for me to follow UFC though, based upon availability.

    Well luckily Pride will still be on PPV. Since Fuji tv dropped them Pride was endanger of losing their american audience. Pride In America would have never happened at that point. Fvckin sakakibara is about as corrupt as they come. He's connected out the ass to the yakuza.

    most people would say the exact opposite, altough i can see where you're coming from as someone who's a more casual fan from the united states.

    personally i prefer pride alot more if for no other reason than the talent pool is deeper. i like aspects of both the ufc and pride in terms of rules.

    i like k1 alot too. it's basically THE combat sport if you have ADHD or something. 10 oz. gloves, quick fights, brutality...

    I just enjoy watching Pride more because the talent pool is better, the fans are more respectful and dont boo when it goes to the ground and also because it is on a much larger scale and always makes the competitors seem like gladiators. To me the UFC still has the backyard brawl mentality with the way they run things.

    I defenitley like to watch pride and would like to see more of it i just never see it on tv anymore, all i really ever see is the ufc which is ok but i would defenitley like to see more.

    ground game is better in ufc imo. takedowns are better as well because of the cage. i like a standup fight though, and pride is better for a slugfest.

    UFC mos def especially since it's the originator. Especially the days of Gracie vs Shamrock, Tank Abbot, Dan "The Beast Severn", The Russian Bear etc...

    Back when they paired a 6"8 beast against a 5"9 guy and let them go at it! That's when the UFC kicked fukin ass!!

    Back when you had a street fighter vs a skilled martial artists. It was like human cockfighting!

    Now it's like watching a boxing match. Boring as hell!!

    I will say that some of the fights in the ufc are pretty boring to watch but when you get the guys who have good stand up and a good ground game thats when its good watch IMO.
