AC/DC got me going a few months ago.. it's strange cause it´s not like their hardcore or anything..


... and oh yeah, if you want something f*ckedup hardcore I recommend Cannibal Corpse (although I cant listen to them withouth banging my head against a wall till I pass out)

If you want some heavier kind of stuff you can check out some of our canadian groups who have some decent material. I'm not sure if americans are really familiar with any of them. Alexisonfire and Finger Eleven are 2 off the top of my head.
