    Running Scared

I just watched this movie tonight.....WOW ....I thought it was AWESOME....has anyone else seen it? I don't want to say exactly what it's about cuz theres so much that isnt said that you find out on your own.....but basically Paul Walker trying to find a gun that was taken from his home that was used in a mob shooting involving dirty cops....LOTS OF ACTION in this movie and non-stop emotional rollercoaster.....a def. must see from me.....

it's def. a great popcorn movie. it would have been better in some ways if they'd spend a few more months getting rid of some of the plot holes, but on the flip side some of it's flaws help make it even more endearing. def. tons of action and suspense, with a feel good ending thown in for better or worse.

Agreed, it was good fun to watch but when you sit down and re run the movie in your head, knowing what you know by the end, it doesn't really make sense. But still a good, fun action movie!

Well I don't want to give too much away to those who haven't seen it and I saw it a while ago so I can't remember it all that clearly but I remember thinking that if you bear in mind what you know by the end of the film then the way he acts throughout the film makes little sense, i.e. he could have acheived his goals in a much simpler way.

I'm not running the film down but it's like so many films that have these big twists at the end, its as if the writer didn't know about the twist at the end until he wrote it.

ahhhhh I SEE....i think i get what you're saying....about what you find out about HIM at the end.....i think they left it out as more of a like WTF part in the movie.....I mean yea it could've been easier oion him..but it just made the movie that much better IMO

Yeah, the twist about him is what I was referring to, I've got nothing against a good twist but it has to then make sense when you re-run the movie in your head afterwards, rather than in this movie where you think "Ahhh right! But hang on, if thats the case then why didn't he just......?" Do you get me?

Def., I thought the EXACT same thing when I found out....but I think not knowing that about him makes you connect with the characters..esp. him on a more personal level you know what I mean?

Yeah, like I said, it was a good twist but it was as if the writer didn't know what was coming till the end either. When a twist is revealed at the end of a film it should make everything that didn't make sense previously suddenly all fall into place whereas in this instance it left me thinking "Well now I know that - why the hell didn't he just .................and save himself a whole lotta drama"

yea I get what your sayin....but do you think that if you knew that, that you could've gotten so involved/connected with the movie? To me,. I was more into the movie and more involved with the characters not knowing it til the end

LOOK AWAY NOW IF YOU HAVE NOT SEEN THIS MOVIE!
I'm obviously not expressing myself very well, I'm not saying we (the audience) should have known about him being a cop throughout, just that when we found out it should have made sense in context with the rest of the movie, i.e. if he is an undercover cop then why not call in some help, he had all the evidence he needed, and why all the panic about the gun that implicated him - he was on duty at the time therefore he was in the clear surely?
Like I said, it is a long time since I saw it so the details in my head are hazy but I remember thinking "Aha, cool twist, he's a cop.........but hang on a minute....if he's a cop then why didn't he just do this, this and this......?"

Yes....I see what you mena now...yea there were many MANY parts where he couldve brought everyone down and where he shouldve called back up.....it seemed like he killed a few too many people..esp. at the end with the pimp.....he could've flashed a badge...but hey more suspense the better right?
