did anyone hear about all the riders barred from competition this tour de france (inclusing the two favorites italian ivan basso and german jan ulrich)?

*sniff sniff* smells like bullshit to me all the riders barred from the tour are merely suspected of having dealings with a doctor associated with doping. they could have DQ'd these guys later if found guilty but no they just go ahead and withdraw a bunch of the top competitors based on allegations.

Actually they weren't merely suspected of having dealings with that particular doctor, solid evidence was found and the rider's teams (ie employers) withdrew them from the race, not the race organisers themselves. In the case of Ullrich he was 4 times listed in the lab concerning blood doping, hgh, igf and testosterone patches...They don't suspend these guys for the sake of it
