Bad bread :(

The last couple of loafs of bread that I have bought have been alittle weird tasting and I have been buying the same bread from the same store for about 1 year now. The exp. date says the 10th of july 2006...but it tastes like its 2 months old. I cant really make the taste out very well. Has this ever happened to anyone here? or could possible tell me what the problem is. Because I dont want to keep eating it if its going to make me sick. But I dont wanna find myself wasting food because im paranoid.

What type of bread is it? If it doesn't have any preservatives in it I would toss it... or if it's rye it could be the type they're using.. they could've changed one of the products they use to make it etc... could be anything, but if you don't like it, don't eat it...

IF u're throwing it away.. Dont flush it, bread seems to float.. and old slice of bread accidently fell into the toilet, with old cereal that has been hanging around, and well the piece of bread just floated, it sucked. I had to scoop it up and toss it in the dumpster.
