some people say that the .40 cal is too hot a round for that gun. Why not go with the .45?

too hot for the glock?? i dont know that much about guns, but the guy at the store told me the 40 cal was better than the new 45, and the 40 was about $200 cheaper so her wasnt just recommending the higher priced gun

I've never understood the difference between small black .20 cal's. I've shot once. They all look the same, what is the difference between guns?

9 mil is easier to control and can get the job done just as well......
Doesnt pack the same punch though

.45 is too slow of a round and the recoil is a little more than the 40... enough to make a difference. .40 is perfect. You can pack the bullet to be more powerful than the .45 if you know how to reload. The 9mm is WAY to fast. Even with the right ammo, you still have to worry about over penetration. The .45 is slow as hell but it obviously has been known to over penetrate also. .40 is the best. Bigger is NOT better with ammo.
as far as the glock 22 itself... it's a great gun...very comfortable in the hand. Of course it has the glock durability. It's accuracy is a little off at distance due to the leway the barrel has. It's a lil bigger than .40 to allow for things like bulging ammo adding to it's value as durable. Unless you are target shooting that shouldn't matter.
As far as the H&K...you might want to take a feel for that gun before you buy it. H&K is a GREAT gun butttt... it's handle is really big and makes tactical reloads very hard to do. Because of it's size the recoil from the .45 isn't so bad. I'd still suggest there subcompact .40 model if i had a choice.
Just my 2 cents...i doubt we have many people who care about that on AR.
