    With a sharp object like that if the impalement is quick enough and arteries are not severed you will not see any blood until the scissors are taken out. the shock factor would keep the guy as calm as he is. Think of it like when you inject juice, sometimes you have smoothies that do not hurt or bleed. except this guy would bleed pretty bad and would require stitches after the obstruction (scissor) was removed. if the scissors did hit an artery it wouldve been a different story pain & blood wise
