    Days off.. Beneficial?

So I called into work today, not feeling the greatest.. How beneficial, mentally and phyisically, do you think taking a day off is? I mean a complete day, staying in bed till 11, then just watching tv, and going on here. I did about an hour worth of work... But I feel mentally relaxed. its quite nice!

That is why most places have personal days and vacations, to help recharge the batteries.

Just calling in sick may not be so benificial if you loose your job.

I think it's very beneficial. Taking time to relax is important imo.

i quit my job in march!!!my wife is now back to work and i stay home.i worked in the printing industry for 25 years.i'll be 40yrs old in 2 months.what i'd like to say to you younger guys and girls is "use your personal time!!!" you will not know the toll that work makes on you till you have burnt yourself out, then it's to late.i've taken these few months off and feel better than i have for years.buy the way along with work i also have nine kids!!ages from 19 to 1.5 yrs old...one adopted.use your free time, use it wisely!you cant get it back!i will be returning to work some day, but,i have a whole new attitude about life and how to spend my time...BAD
