Best way to meet girls in new area

I've been in a new city now for six months and am having problems meeting girls. I really don't know anyone in the entire area.

Any advice on how to meet quality girls would be great. I'm trying to stay outta bars as me drinking often results.

Hmm...I'd say bars, but I try to stay away from them too. I don't know how old you are but if you're still in college, joining clubs and events is a great way to meet chicks. If not, maybe events in the community? That's a tough one.

yea im not very good at meeting girls unless i have some forced social interaction. like a job where they are forced to spend time with me day after day until i finally grow on them a little, or they start to feel sorry for me.

just get out as much as possible, join any class your interested in, get a part time job at a restaurant, go play some pickup basketball. the more you are out and about the more oppertunities you will have.

I hate the bars and clubs, especially without any friends to go with. It's hard to go out alone.

I'm in sales so I don't work with anyone else.

haha when I was in Atlanta for business I went on their and e-mailed a few girls to see if they wanted to go to a bar/club with me and my coworkers since we didn't know anybody. I work full time in sales qand at times work 50-60hrs a week.

like you say, you arent into the club scene, and that, like afew others so far, would be the first suggestion from me. the puppy idea would be good hehe, but, working your schedule, along with working out etc, you wouldnt seem to have time to look after the little bugger.

Yeah thats true man, no time for a puppy........There are few girls at the gym, but they are very unapproachable (headphones, etc.). I know I'll meet a good girl eventually, until then I'll just keep eating, working, lifting and sleeping

I agree...you might want to try this if you want to avoid the bar and club scene.. The majority of the people I work with are between 25 and 35 and a ton of them go on myspace to meet people.
