Cool San Fransico here I come!!

I'm going to be hanging out in San Fransico from the 3rd through the 10th pretty much by myself for the most part. Just wondering what I should plan on doing, seeing while I'm there.

i thought san fran was great...I saw shit like fishermans warf and alcatraz and haight and ashbury where all the hippies are. People are so friendly and there is a lot to do. Bring a light jacket with you.

I'm pretty fired up to go. It's my first time on the west coast. A bunch of people have told me I have to go to Alcatraz and the fisherman's Warf. I'm sure it will kick ass no matter what I end up doing. I'll just be glad to be somewhere other than Cleveland, OH for a change.

I went to SF last summer with the gf and had a great time.

They have catamaran tours that leave from the wharf. The catamarans are much faster than the generic ferry boats that tour the bay. They will also go right under the golden gate bridge.

if you have time, try to go on a tour of napa valley. They're cheap, the scenery is amazing and free wine tastings from all the winerys visited.

I grew up in San Fran. Make sure you see the Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz tour, take a trolley ride up and down the hills, and enjoy the sourdough bread pizza, San Frans finest!

Have fun out there, enjoy the weather!

bring a coat it gets real chilly in the summer, i lived there for a few years, i would stay away from fishermans wharf, too touristy,i would hit up some italian food in north beach, and than go over to haight asbury to tie on a good buzz in the hippie bars. but thats just me, there is a lot to do. san fran has alot to offer, check out china town and get some food, best chinese in the continental USA

Thanks guys. Appreciate the input. Looks like it's in the upper 60's to lower 50's in SF right now. Guess that is a little cool considering it's about 16 degrees warmer in Cleveland right now.

hemingway once said,"the coldest winter i ever spent was a summer in san francicsco" i didnt get it until i moved there, i cant tell you how many i would go out in the middle of the day, not bring a jacket, and a few hours later, i would have to stop in a store and buy a new jacket because i was so Fckn cold! it happened at least 3 times, i finaly just started to keep an assortment of clotes in my car trunk beacuse you cant trust the weather in the bay area, it differs so much in a 15 minute car ride from place to place.it could be 80 degrees in oakland and a few miles over the bay bridge on a beach in sanfran it could feel like 50 degrees with the wind and fog.

On Sutter Street there is an asian massage palor called "Nicki's Massage". I believe it's around the 1100 block.

Go there. Pay the $60 house fee for an hour massage. Pick a hot young Thai girl from their line up. Leave an extra $100 on the counter as a preemptive tip. Sit back, relax, and enjoy. She'll take care of the rest. I am sure that you will get the best damn er um "massage" this side of the Pacific.

There are even better places if you can get a car and hit up the South Bay.

Yes, you can pick up some Cuban Cigars in the Castro district which is the Cuban part of the city.

If you prefer "sausage" over "fish" then head on down to Pier 39. You can also find lots of great "fish" over in North Beach off of BROADway.
