Elliptical, easier on your body and better results with less perceived effort.

Personally, I think a rower involves a greater caloric expenditure unless you're really kicking it on a treadmill. IMO, you need to try both out for several times to see which you feel more comfortable with. If you're not comfortable with the equiptment, it will gather a lot of dust.

You don't think elliptical's hurt your lower back when doing them?

    They kill mine!

I would stick with a quiet treadmill. They rok!

ehh my bad bro....Ive been up for 3 days now straight with work, working out and all...getting to my head.

The one my Kickboxing trainer made us use was a long ass one all leather tough as fvck, the core was a steel rod, not hollow....and it was tightly packed with sand and soft edged pebbels, fvck sadistic mutherfvcker had us hit it until we were sore and bled.

literaly bleeding, not to mention the 2 hrs with him that seemed like 10!

It takes a while to get used to it, it took me about 2 weeks and sometimes even though its impossible I swear I could feel the steel hitting my shin!

The key is not to make the pebbels stick out but try to keep em inside as possible with only small parts of em out, the leather and sand will lessen the impact but itll still hurt.

The purpose beyond the bag according to him, was to

    1-Tolerance and pain threshold

2-To develop Power in the kicks, punches and elbows.

3-And to toughen up your fist and bones(elbows, shins, etc...)

And work it did, had a strong fvcking punch and bones you couldnt even dream of.
