my love
aside from steroids , guns and of coarse, elizabeth, there is another love in my life. that being my pet tokay gecko. its really sad though cause im gonna have to get rid of him within the next week cause im moving.
i swear, you will never find another tokay as tame as the one ive got.

the other night i came home around 11 and he was chillin on his aboloni shell (tokays are nocternal)
i saw him and i walked up, put my nose on the to of the cage and said his name.
he looked up at me, then stuck his head up a little higher, then after 15 seconds he stuck his head up even higher, like he was trying to touch my nose with his.
im really gonna miss that lizard

thats tight bro, i like snakes too. i used to have a pet gopher snake named dbol , but he got out of his cage and is now somewhere in my house
it annoys me that that happened cause i feel that as the animals owner, i have an obligation to make sure my pet is healthy and happy.

Has he ever bitten you when you kissed him?
If not he's a true buddy.
If so let him go...........

when i first got him, he had the personality of a pirahna. but he never bit me, he snapped at me once or twice but thats it. now i can pick him up and kiss him right on the nose and he wont bite me. but sometimes hel flick out his tongue when i do that, like hes kissing me back or something

they call these lizards indonesian mouse traps cause they are so damn aggressive (also cause they live in asia/indonesia). also, when the US was in viet nam, the troops refered to tokay geckos as "fu_k you lizards"
when i first got him, i was holding him and he had his mouth wide open to bite me, so i put a cricket in his mouth with a pair of tweezers. he bit down on the tweezers, which made a really loud cracking sound.
it was his teeth breaking from biting the tweezers so hard

yea i know. problem is with gopher snakes is that they instinctivly want to keep moving forward, like they wont post up and chill unless they are sleeping. im pretty sure he got out through a small service door in my room. there is actually a possibility that he got out of the house and is now alive and well in the hills by my house.
i hope thats what happened anyway

Oh yeah that is cute. Why do you have to give him away?

yea but that would be kinda hard. he needs a special light and a large area to live. im afraid hed get sad, unhealthy and then die if i put him in some small discrete cage. id rather put him in a very large cage all by himself with live plants and lots of water. tokay geckos love humidity
