I was just wondering, i sent a PM to someone, and then when i went back to re-read the message, it was some how sensored. words were taken out and replaced by ******. i thought a PM was a PRIVATE MESSAGE.

It is private, but the board has a list of blocked words-some are profanity, most .coms get blocked-but no one is reading your PMs-Just get creative like; creativedotcom, or sh1t, you get what I mean.

If you are using words that are sensored your conduct is against board policies. Maybe you should think about that.

Thats what I like about ARR, some boards can get to be a little animal house-ish, most of us are guys on here, but we don't have to act like 11th graders. Just my 2cents.

PM's can be read, but very doubtful it is being done bro, nothing but a built in word censor. I had to do it for my forum, add a list of every kind of word imaginable spelled every which way.

I guess it would really be dependant on what installation package is being used, my forum uses PhPBB and has a PM Archive in which all PM's sent can be seen by the Admin only, not any Mods or anything of that sort.

Yup, I agree. What I meant is the configurations of this board are made such that no one can read PMs. Of course the Sys Admin can change configurations any time.

Oh its definitely possible for somone to read other people PM's. I mean a good computer "hacker" can do it. But the odds that someone would go through EVERY member and read them all is just crazy.
