So Im at work, me and this guy order 2 Huge pizzas, he pays me for half and I get 1.5 so while Im eating this C (customer) walks in and he looks at me and says :

C: Hey man why dont you give me a slice?

yeah..I had a few bottled waters sitting in front of me one day at work. I work outside and its over 100 every day. Customer goes, "Its really hot, you mind if I have a water?" I say "Yes I do mind..I've been here for 5 hours..I got 3 more to go" and basically told him hes been here 5 minutes and pretty much had the same convo u had.

Maybe he is homeless or doesn't have food at home. If you don't know what it's like to go hungry, it's not a good feeling. Why else would he beg someone he doesn't know for food? I would have given him a slice. Obviously he was very hungry.

I don't know if it is common in White American culture that you're taught to never deny people food. I know it's traditionally taught in Black and Latin cultures. By the comments in this thread, it appears there is a difference when it comes to that.
