    If you owed a GYM....

I have been think about opening a Hardcore gym lately more suited for a meathead like me instead of a yoga mom. I really like free weights and not real fond of a lot machines. Also the gym I have been going to has remodeled and the "new" rubber dumb bells only go to a 100 lbs!!!! WTF!!!! I was wondering what any of you would change about your gyms. Also what would you name it.

I thought it was a pretty cool name for a gym.

i would have all the required free weight equipment, squat racks etc. a powerlifting platform. as far as machines, id have to have hammer strength equipment, as im a big fan of their leverage machines. plus the customary lat pulldown, cable stations, hack squats, leg presses, pullup bars, cardio equipment, ab areas etc, and a stability ball/medicine ball area, just annoy people. hey, and a carwash. how many gyms have a carwash?!

I'd be sure to hire capable people first of all... ones that don't stand around and get in the way.. the trainers would be nice to EVERYONE and helpful where needed. There would be enough dumb bell sets to accommodate the amount of members, as well as multiples of the different benches and sufficient space for it all. And it would be open 24 hours, with air conditioning and great pumped up music playing at a good volume..

And .. if a machine breaks down or something gets fvcked up, it wouldn't take 3 months to get it fixed.

No kiddin, there was a few gyms I went to that machines broke and it took them months to fix the damn thing, I mean a gym is a business, to have broken equipment is bad for business, keep the crap in operation

I kinda agree, if the A/C is way up and you can't get a sweat you feel like you didnt work hard enough. Even when u worked out like crazy, its all mental but...
