Doc got all judgemental about my steroid use

Yep, I had to tell her about them because it's relevant info for health care purposes. And she took this attitude with me.....she says, "why, when you know how bad for you." I said, hey, you have your feelings about them and I have mine. I'm hear for a check up not a judgement about my lifestyle. She was a bit pissy with me! The docs all have their default attitudes yet hormone replacement is legit because the doc gets some kickback. Those muthafickers!

Amen. My doc interned on U of I's football team. He knows all about my use and really helps me out whenever I need medical opions or advice.

If you can, try to find a doc that studied sports medicine in college, they will most likely be a bit more forgiving with the topic of AAS.

Girls are always 100 times more judgemental about steroids than guys.
    Especially in the medical field.

That's probably true. They just don't understand. It must seem strange or vain to them.

the thing is even if they do understand they do have to make it difficult, they dont want to make it look like their supporting take roids.

If they've taken a specialized interest maybe but I still think there's this attitude based on ethics and most wouldn't buy into the radical nature of the sport

In telling your doc stuff like that, can you get in trouble for roid use? I mean, if she was to say something to someone else? Just curious...

The hell it is! It's SUPPOSED to be. My BP and Cholesterol was high at one point and I was experiencing hotflashes etc. So, I went to the Dr. I specifically told no one but the doc, no nurses or anything. They take blood results and 2 weeks later the fvcking RECEPTIONIST calls me at work and tells me that my results were in, they were a little high but it was probably due to my steroid use.

    she told you, your results????

i think that might be ok telling your results but on other hand, the doc broke the rules.

see when i get results back, the receptionest calls me and say come in doc wants to tell your results, and i have asked before to just tell me results.
She has replyed with you need to come and speak to the doc..

I told my doc (man) & he wrote some notes on a sheet of paper -then paperclipped it to my file...i asked him why he didint write in IN the file & he said...in case there is ever an issue I dont want your insurance to deny you coverage due to steroid use, this way I can just throw out the paper & no one knows except you & me, If I remember..wink wink THATS a cool doc. Now I am most likely getting gyno surgery, & it will be covered.

That's why i always advocate not telling them, i don't need that info in my medical record when i get a critical man life policy for $1,000,000... if that info is in there, it's probable you will not get the policy.. and the job offer will go away as well..

I had one doc(man) that was into sports medicine and he would help me with what ever I needed. He was a good guy. He moved .....now I see a skinny little runt with beer bottle glasses and a pot belly. He gives me a hard time about a script for a Antibiotic! Let alone anything else. He always telling me that I need to lose weight and get in my weight range! HA HA I told him that I weight 321lbs and and have 30% body fat I would like to see the day I weight 186! (I admit my bodyfat is higher than I like it to be. I like it under 18%)I told him that he was out of shape and he snaped back at me saying that he was in the middle of his weight range! Fvck weight ranges! Tell me that is not one size fits all! Then he tells me that If I stoped lifting weights and started running I would lose weight. I hate all doctors, exspecialy VA doctors!

Cant you loose your medical insurance if your doctor knows your using since your putting yourself at an 'extraordinary risk' as they'd put it?

If that's true, that's good to know.

If I ever get a blood test from my family doc, I'll make sure it's when I'm recovering after Pct so my test is low. Might not be a good idea though in case my cholesterol or bp is out of whack. What does everone else think?
