Depressing comercials
I've noticed lately there are quite a few comemricals/advertisments about various diseases and infections (Aids, herpes etc)
Do you feel they4encourage you to be more aware, or are a waste of cash?

Waste of cash. I mean we all know about these diseases, these commercials clearly arent the first time people have heard of them and even educating people in school doesnt stop them.
I think its a matter of just temptation, people wanna get laid and so they do it. The people who are smart enough to use protection dont need a commercial to tell them, the people that arent wont listen anyways.
Maybe its a negative view but its what I honestly think.

Like the one with the guy and the hole in his throat from smoking. That commercial is so disgusting and i don't think it helps.

I think they are useful for some. Alot of ppl are ignorent when it comes to basic thinking. They need to be showed it , or else they would be blind about the outcomes with disease/std's etc. Money wasted on television is all the pointless in your face attitude supporting todays music and current "trends". Now thats a pointless billion doller project.

the most useless "educating" comercials are the anti drug campaigns. Not only do they insult the intelligence of every person watching them, they are also ****ing boring.
The anti drug campaign going on in swedish mtv right now is "drugs are poop" and you se guys snorting shit, sticking there fingers in shit, tasting it and saying "yeah fresh stuff" and so on. Do they realy think that will make anyone care??
If they want kids to not **** they should get someone with bad herpes to go around in schools and drop there pants and show the herpes infected package.

its hard to say... i mean, there are alot of stupid people out there that put themselves at serious risk of getting diseases like that. but id like to think that at least some people are more carefull cause of these commercials.
i suppose its better to have these types of comercials than to simply ignore the fact that we got a str8 epidemic of stds goin on right now
