is there such a thing as an auto pistol? has it ever been tried? seems pointless yet badass.

yes and prolly every wierdo survivalist in america can easily convert any semiauto to full quickly and easily. of course your 5-20 round clip isn't going to last wery long shot on automatic. even with something liek a tec-9 which can hold 50 rounds most people use it as a semiauto. you can shoot off many rounds a second that way but with less wasting.

yah you can...don't see the point. It will just make you miss more and have to change the clip out more often.
Beretta, glock 18 (which no private citizen can own, even with a class 3 liscense" actually I read like one guy legally owned one before the cut off period) mauser broomhandle c96. Any one of the mac-10 like "handguns" (which I don't really count in that same class) Machine pistols are fun to play with, but not what you want in a gun fight, too hard to control w/o burst firing (which the beretta does with it's 3 shot burst)
I mean this with the most respect but:Originally Posted by zimmy
magazine- is what holds rounds in a box like structure
Clip- a piece of metal used to hold rounds before being inserted into a magazine Example= mauser bolt action, enfield ie stripper clips
Yah ... yah ... old habbit...you knew what i meant.

No select fire pistol is really practical for a gun fight or patrol use. They are made mainly for entry team members (SWAT,SRT). Take note if you see a pic of a team getting ready to enter a house. The first one through the door usually has a ballistic shield that weighs a ton and therefore cannot hold a shotgun, rifle, or sub machine gun with both hands. This where a glock 18 comes in handy. He doesn't have to lose the fire power of having one of the other weapons and will be close enough to the threat to deliver a short effective controlled burst on full auto.
you can buy a little thing called an FSSG i believe (may be somethign else but similar) that slots onto the back of any glock and makes it full-auto. thats waht that video is advertising.
