    Santaria is a very old religion that some other better known religions have been derrived from (aka voodoo). It is very drum oriented...may very well have been. No worries...totally harmless.

    It is not voodoo. It's a combination of African religion and Catholicism. It originated in the Caribbean from the slave trade when the Spanish forced Catholicism on the slaves. The slaves used the catholic symbols to trick the slavers and continue practicing the African religion.
