Thread: Anyone ever feel foggy?

    Anyone ever feel foggy?

Usually I feel great all the time--sharp and focused with tremendous energy. But once in a while, for no real apparent reason, there'll be a few days where I feel very foggy and spaced out. There's a term called sleep inertia which is the feeling of grogginess after awakening which can temporarily reduce your ability to perform even simple tasks. It usually lasts for 15-30 minutes. I'm sure everyone is familiar with it, but the "fogginess" that I speak about lasts the whole day, mostly several days, not just after I wake up. I almost feel high--almost "stuck", but not as severe. And then, as quickly as it came, it'll go away a few days later. This happens maybe every few months.

Does it happen to anyone else? If so, any way of getting rid of it quickly?

If your healthy and have no problems then its either:

1- You need more quality sleep

2-You need to stop being a lazy ass and do 20 mins of cardio or something when you wake up.

I think alot of BB's dont do intense cardio, which helps alot with this grogginess/laziness thing.

Yeah, I just started doing cardio but I'm still torn between AM cardio and PWO cardio. I've seen very persuasive arguments for both. Right now I'm doing PWO but I might change that to AM if the grogginess persists.

It's very irritating and it's making it impossible to focus on the paper I have due next week. I'm just sitting here eating a porterhouse and listening to Howard Stern from last week.

I just wanted to see if others experienced the same....

Well I did feel crappy at times and tired as hell what really helped me was

Getting in more calories, always stay rehydrated, stay away from junk, stop smoking, cut back drinking, sleep good, get more active, more sex and take a multi.

Thanks for the tips bros. I don't smoke and don't drink, nor do I eat junk food. But I'll go buy a good multi. I ran out a few days ago.

That's interesting. It can be many things. Take for example, depression. Most people identify depression as "poor moods" but depression is seen by psychiatrists as a disease of the body (mind and body are one in this view). which can be expressed in a "somatized" manner and you don't identify poor moods, but rather fatigue and inertia or bodily complaints in general. Groggyness and reduced cognitive and social performance are common to depression.

Than again, it can be diet or maybe a virus going through your system. Maybe you're circadium rythme is thrown off because you don't have regimented sleeping times. The list goes on.
