difference between cold hearted and morbid

Just curious...my sis is kinda mad at me cus i said a comment i just figured to be factual... morbid ...but factual. She was saying somfin about me not saving (which I know i need to do sooner or later) and that my mom is counting on me to be the good one and retire and all that stuff... I just said it really doesn't matter cus she's a diabetic who refuses to exercise or change the diet so the chances of her being around when that time comes is pretty slim....

anyway...I mean...people die? I love my mom and my family is SUPER tight so it's not that i don't care...

wut do you guys think...cold or morbid?

    Yo!

A little morbid but, i am a firm beleiver of speaking my mind and always saying how i feel no matter what the circumstances, what you said is really not that bad. Even though your mom might not be around she still cares about your future though. I don't think it's even close to being cold hearted, your just speaking your mind and what you said was you just being honest. Don't sweat it, you know deep inside the love you have for your mom.

I'd tell her that I'm as concerned for you as you are concerned for me. That's just the responsibility of a family member. At the same time, not only are you talking to a family member..... you're talking to a female. We all know that honesty is the best policy here, but we have to be careful how we deliver a potentially criticizing comment to a family member. Family will always be there for you, so it's best that you keep that bridge intact. Very hard to do sometimes, though, so don't beat yourself up about it.

Do this: Be the first one to apologize. That'll mean more to her than what you initially said.

I'm like you in that I like to "keep it real". I don't think it was cold, but at the same time, it wasn't a batch of warm chocolate chip cookies either. You both threw a few jabs so the way I see it is, you're both even.
