Mankind disgusts me!!!!
I just finished watching a World Wildlife Fund (WWF) program about species on the brink of extinction. The main reasons for the impending extinctions were poaching, encrouchment on habitat and environmental toxins...all of which are perpetrated by humankind. I was shocked, disgusted and deeply saddened and horrified by some of the images!! They showed a poacher cut the shell off of a live sea turtle as she struggled and writhed in pain, they showed a group of poachers with dogs, rope a tiger and stab her to death as she was held down and bitten and they showed a group of hunters documenting the killing of a wolf. A hunting ban on wolves was imposed in the areas immediately outside the protected park and hunters were so outraged they killed and be-headed a collared animal and displayed it's head on their cabin with a poster stating "Don't Dare Us!!" At this moment I am livid!! The adrenaline is pulsing, my heart is racing and I am ready to inflict pain!! I am morally outraged and absolutely digusted at what humans are capable of all in the name of money...or our right to kill for pleasure!! I would LOVE to come upon a poacher in action...I can promise that I would be either in jail or have a felony record for assault causing bodily harm because I would pound his face into a bloody fucking pulp until his body was limp and motionless!! Then I would either spit, or piss, on him as he lie there!!! If I had come upon that cabin with the severed wolves head...I would stroll right in and begin systematically pounding the shit out of the piece of trash who thinks his right to shoot a defensless animal is paramount!! I may be saying these things out of anger but I swear on all that is holy, I would have no mercy on these fucking gutless cowards if I ever came face to face!!

Great post Pete. I know it disgusts me too. I was watching a documentary on A&E about the wild gorrillas that live in africa and how they are being hunted to extingtion just for there hands and hids. This outraged me that someone could do this to such a beautiful and human like animal. I think that pochers should be given heavier fines and sentances for there horrible acts again the envirenment.

Pete, i too don't like those kind of fuckers. I get really pissed off when i see that shit, and yes sometimes i feel as if i could cry for those poor animals.(im a big pussy) But what can we do about this? Do you support your local wildlife fund? I personally don't think i have ever given a single cent to help the animals, but yet i want to sit at home and bitch about it. Would i feel better if i given atleast a dollar.. no. We have all these fucking activist who bitch and moan about how the animals are being mistreated, killed or whatever, but alot of them don't want to get their hands dirty when it comes down to really dealin with the problem.
Some think, Well let's raise money. Well it's pretty fucking obvious that the money isn't helping much. All that money does is fund their little campaigns in a attempt to tell the public about how these poor little animals are being mistreated. And how many people actually give a shit. Sad to say not alot.
We are people and we are all hypocrites, some of us choose not to admit it. I don't know what the hell im trying to say. But i do feel what your saying.
Well i guess im trying to say that, i don't like to see that shit either. I would like to kill whatever asshole is doing that shit to these animals, but as soon as i turn the tv off i forget all about it.
Pete, would you feel different if that guy killing the seaturtle was going to use it for food? That money he's getting is prolly buying food for his family.. i know thats bullshit, im just trying to see the light of it all.
Peace out

yep, like everybody here it really gets to me... and i am a hunter. unfortunately, hunters get a bad rep from some yahoo drunk mfers out in the middle of BFE. Personally if we started puttin some of these freaks in jail for 20+ i think it would stop over n the states. as for africa and asia, we ought to start withholding aid until they clean up the mess. a few of the african countries have figured out they can make a lot more moneyout of photograph safaris than they ever could with trade in animal parts.

Maybe i wasnt clear...If people stopped buying dead animal artifacts the pouchers woulnd make any money from selling them - so they would stop killing the animals.

Big Pete,
I'm with you Bro. It hurts me to even watch National Geographic anymore. I can't take the sight of innocent animals being killed. I'm also with you on wanting to fuck up those bastards. I'd kill em all if I could. I hurts and makes me fucking mad as hell to see these things. I wish I could think of something to do but its a helpless feeling. I got the weapons to kill these bastards but not the finances to go around the world and get em all, or at least as many as I could.

Big Mike J...after watching the show we set up a monthly donation to WWF direct from one of our credit cards. Before that I gave a yearly donation to the SPCA. I know it's only a small contribution but I also know that it will be used wisely.
As far as the sea turtle scene goes, I was outraged because the poor creature was alive and fully aware what was happening to her. You could watch her writhe in pain even though she wasn't able to vocalize her agony. You could see the blood pour out from beneath her as this heartless fucking bastard hacked away at her shell with a cleaver and hammer. If she were already dead I may not have been as affected, but to be so ruthless and cruel for a few dollars made me, literally, sick to my stomach.
Frankie...lets get as many of the big bros from this board together as we can and pay a few visits to some of these peoples houses!!

Jefflyte...I have no problem with hunting per se when it is used responsibly as a conservation tool...keeping heards healthy etc. I have many friends who hunt. Personally I could never take the life of a defensless animal, that's just who I am.
However, the scene in which these hunters be-headed a tagged and collared wolf and displayed on the front of their cabin just to defy the powers that be and defend their right to kill for pleasure and sport, sickened me like you would not believe. Do I have a problem with a hunter shooting a big white tip? No, but I wouldn't be able to watch or do it myself. Do I have a problen with a hunter shooting a porcupine, rabbit or racoon just for target practice and to show off their rifle? I most certainly do...and I have heard these fuckers brag about it. The next time I hear of somebody spouting off about how they plugged a porcupine from 100yrds...I'll walk right up and smack that little fucker in his chops!!

just a thought- i totally agree with you pete235 on the hunting wolves stuff. at the same time, it's ok for us to boil live lobsters, keeps hens in tiny little cages in a factory to give us eggs etc. it seems like when we are dealing with a 'rare' or exotic animal in a distant country then people tend to get a lot more outraged. being bolied alive doesn't sound like fun, and being a factory chicken doesn't sound likre a barrel of laughs either yet both happen millions of times a day within our own country,.

I have a question bro. I know this is gonna sound shitty, but are you talking out your ass or what? If Pete or anybody else for that matter actually took your statement serious, would you really go. Im just wondering man, because alot of people like to just talk. Know what im saying? Want to be part of the kewl crowd. I seriously want to know. Im sorry for this, but it's something that i feel i had to say.
what I'm saying. Would I actually go if I could. Hell Ya. And you'd be wise to not think different.

Cube...you make a very good point bro. I guess I'm somewhat hipocritical because I eat chicken (hell...I am a bodybuilder) and maybe I should be outraged at the way meat hens are slaughtered, but I can't help feeling what I feel.
I will say this however (and you can confirm this with my wife), I don't even kill spiders. If I find a spider in the house, I will get it on a piece of paper and deliver it safely outside. Same with mice, squirrels and other so called pests. It's just not in me to kill. And if anybody thinks that makes me less of a man........FUCK YOU!!

I'll tell you what BigMike. I don't give a shit if I'm in the kool crowd or not. If you don't like me you can Kiss my you know what. The truth, if I could kill these fuckers legally, I would do it. There is nothing that hurts me worse than watching an innocent animal on TV get hurt or tortured. Just can't take it. Its a lot easier for me to see people killed or hurt on TV. Both are bad, theres just something about an innocent animal that really bothers me. I worked for an elite bodygaurd service in Los Angeles and am a Marine. You should also go to the post on Martial arts for a more detailed description of my backround. I've been around the block and understand exactly
what I'm saying. Would I actually go if I could. Hell Ya. And you'd be wise to not think different.
I have heard people talk shit, but when it's time to throw the blows they back out. More often then not this happens. I too would go on a good o poucher pouching trip if it was possible. I could care less about these types of people.
So Frankey chill man, like i said i didn't mean to come off as a punk asshole dick motherfucker, know what im saying? All i can say now is thanks for your comment about what i had to say to you, now i have no question as to the integrity about your comment before.. Later bro.
As for the kewl crowd comment, i don't know where i was going with that.. i just wish i was part of it.
peace outLast edited by BigMike J; 07-08-2002 at 01:31 PM.

pete235, man i'm just as hypocritical because i eat a hell of a lot of meat, just ask any all-you-can-eat buffet in my town
i guess i just wish we could treat all animals humanely (even if we are eating them, there's definitely nicer ways than just butchering them).
poachers and asshole's like that annoy the shit out of me too. i used to live in england where there's not much hunting, apart from fox hunting which is a nasty business - a bunch of assholes on horses with 50 or so dogs chase after a fox until it is either a) ripped to pieces, b) dies of exhaustion. i have been on a anti fox-hunting demo and it was a great feeling to stop those **ckers from chasing the fox.
i think when it comes to poachers, i'd make them go one-on-one with the tiger or gorilla they were trying to kill and let them see how manly they felt with no guns/dogs
cube
p.s. can i come on the trip as well?

When you guys get this group together, don't forget to call National Geographic to come out and film the action................

Pete in your quest for hugeness you never cease to amaze me about the controversial topics you come up with to talk about.
Sorry but If I see a spider in my house it is a dead spider on the other hand my son would be crying if he saw me kill it so I have to step silently onto it, or politely put it on a peice of paper and return it quickly to the outside . I hate spiders!!!!!

China is terrible for creating a market for the sale of protected animal parts to be used as aphrodesiacs. What the fuck will a bear's gall bladder or a rhino horn do that Viagra won't? We're at the top of the food chain, which also means that we're responsible for protecting the animals below us. I'm with you on the donations to WWF, Pete. I've been donating since I was 14 years old, mostly $20 here and $50 there.

BigMike,
No probs my Iron brother. I know theres a lot of things to consider before putting together a anti poucher group. I just can't get that story BigPete was telling about the turtle out of my head. I lost it on that one.
Mrs T, I'm sorry. You know I'm the most nonviolent person around, but when it comes to innocent animals being butchered just for the hell of it, I can't take it. I hope you still love me though. You know I still love you. I just wish the world could be a happy place for all.

Petey I didn't know you were so sensitive. Just kiddin ya man. Sometimes we as a human race do some really cruel things to animals and even to one another. Good to see another guy like you out there that cares about things like that. Hell, one of the things I noticed about folks on this board is that they are down to earth, and just like every body else, even though SOME ARE on AS, they still have feelings and sensitive issues. Oh well guess that is what makes us all human beings sometimes.

It's fucken disgusting. Killing animals just for the pure "joy" of it is WRONG. That story about stabbing the tiger to death! YUK! WTF???
That's just sick shit, people should be taken to prison for that, for a LONG time!
Fishing is one thing, but that stuff is just fucken nasty!!!

One of the saddest things I have ever seen on TV was a poacher who clubbed a baby seal to death...It was crying out for it's mother as this sorry excuse for a human being beat it in the head with a club. I wanted to grab that club and beat him in the head with it a few hundred times.

Excellent idea Mrs. T. The episode could be called. "The endangered Poacher". National Geographic could film, with those long range telephoto lenses, a poacher about to kill an innocent animal, when all of a sudden a red dot appears on the poachers heads. The next frame they have to edit because of all the mess from their heads exploding from the impact of a 308 ballistic tip fired from a Remington 700 sniper rifle. Then, if any are still alive, National G can film dark, gillie suited figures walking up to the would be poachers and finishing any alive ones off with a single shot to the head. Actually, I'd put a couple rounds from my para-ordanance, P14-45 limited loaded with Corbon 185grain +P hollow points into their nuts or spine and let them suffer a slow painful death, just as they do to animals. Now that would be justice. I promise it would get other poachers attention. And if they continued, their next. If I had about 250 well motivated individuals and was supplied with all the logistical support I needed I really think something like this could become reality. Right now, if you assigned a Seal team, or Ranger battalion, or Marine company for the task, they alone could make a significant impact. Hats off to all the nonprofit groups trying to help the animals as best they can. I applaud their effort and cause. However, people like this understand only one thing, self preservation and greed. If you take away their possibility of self preservation they might consider doing something else more worthwhile with their pathetic bitch asses.

The saddest 2 things ive seen on tv was a Japanese fishingship that hooked sharks and cut there fins of and then throwed them back in the water alive so the sharks would drown. Other thing was were a couple of hunters chased a bear up in a three, shoot it to the ground and while it was still alive let 6 dogs tear it up...

Well, Frank, you KNOW that I think all child molesters and rapists should be treated as they treat others ... so treatin poachers the way THEY treat others certainly doesn't offend me. Of course I still love you. Everyone needs to vent some time. Go for it.

Great concept, but too humane Frankie. I say the pochers are captured and tortured. We make trophies of their skulls, hides and various appendages and display them on the front of our all terrain assault vehicles. Every once in a while when we corner a poacher we slowly and gruesomely beat him to death with our bare hands, reviving him with smelling salts everytime he slips into unconciousness. No quick kills...slow torturous agonizing deaths to these bastards!!!
Sounds even better BigPete. No easy deaths to these bastards.
