Question Use of the term "bro"

I was wondering why do you people on this forum use the term "bro" so much?Is it out of some sort of commraderie or do you use it out of respect? Not trying to step on any toes but I am curious, mainly because I usually just stick to the tried and true method of the person's name.

On Seinfield, Kramer created the 'bro' for older men with big saggy chests as apposed to the 'bra' for women. Sometimes referred to as the manzier.

We could just call each other bitch!

And just becasue BigKev is big, doesn't mean he is anything to be afraid of. You can talk all the shit you want to him and he won't do a thing. However, once he catchs you then you will either sh*t your pants or pee. And depending on the situation, you may do both. Hahahaha! Now I am only being a smart ass BK! I've got all the respect and admiration for BK and all the bros here on AR!

But I seriously think bro is an appropriate word that we all can justify being called.

I think that it is a term that is used when talking to friends which in many cases can be considered somewhat of a brother. In making reference to a brother, that is a sign of respect. It's also just a term that has been incorperated into everyday speech in many cases.

The word "bro" was used by American soldiers in Vietnam (maybe other conflicts as well) to signify comaraderie, brotherhood and friendship. As Big Al said...we are all part of a brotherhood (and sisterhood).
