10 miles, Damn! I did cardio for the 1st time in 2 months 2 days ago and got a 5.30minute mile! I'm trying out for arena football soon so I gotta get fast again

cool meng. i just had to quite running. i was getting shin splints and ****ed up knees again. sux.
well done man, 10miles at any pace is dam good. i had to run a lot while i was in the army and even though im out now, i still run at least 2mi 2-3 times a week. my average time is 14:00, and my best time is 13:31. nothing spectacular but i do feel that running does make me stay more athletic than just walking on a treadmill. i have heard that low intensity cardio is better at preserving muscle, but i think the effect would be minimal.Originally Posted by zimmy
