cant wait til this peice of crap is done for good so i have a great reason to go buy a mac..i have like all the virus protection in the world on here and i still get viruses.. i barely do anything. i surf this site, espn and check my email. i do go to a couple naughty sites but they should be okay since they are big sites and i have a paid password.. this weeks issue is that my mouse stops working whenever there is any website or program playing any type of media.. so you know what that means.. i think its a conspiracy, possibly its a virus my gf put on my pc to keep me from looking....

I'm not a fan of Macs. There is still virus's out there for macs, just less due to the majority of people and buisnesses running windows.

There are very few mac antivirus programs. I know that Norton has one for Tiger, but not familier with others.

I use my computer for gaming though, and the lack of games that will run on Mac OSX keeps me from getting a mac.

Also, once you have a mac, you do need to learn how to troubleshoot it yourself, because tech support from other companies (ISP, wireless hot spots, digital camera, basically anything that is not apple) is extreamly limited.

Adult websites are the biggest places to pick up adware/malware. With a good firewall, adware virus and spyware program, you should be fine, but going to those websites (gambling webites are #2) are risky.

The new macs with the intel chip, that can emulate Windows look pretty good, and I would only consider buying one of those. The abilty to use Win XP, plus OSX does have some advantages.
